چکیده
Most of modern linguistic theories rely on the notion of constraints. However, only few applications try to implement the parsing process directly with constraint programming: in most cases, constraints are interpreted in a passive sense, the parsing process itself being no diierent to that of classical deriva-tional approaches. We show in this paper that the problem comes from the representation of linguistic information and the generative interpretation of the relation between grammar and language. We propose a new approach, called Property Grammar in which all syntactic information is represented with constraints, the parsing process being an actual constraint resolution mechanism.

Voice-based Age and Gender Recognition using Training Generative Sparse Model
Abstract: Gender recognition and age detection are important problems in telephone speech processing to investigate the identity of an individual using voice characteristics. In this paper a new gender and age recognition system is introduced based on generative incoherent models learned using sparse non-negative matrix factorization and atom correction post-processing method. Similar to genera...
متن کاملA Source-Filter Model for Generative Metrics
This paper has two goals: first, to account for some metrical patterns attested in Russian iambic tetrameter; and second, to show how a grammar of categorically ranked constraints can make predictions about non-categorical phenomena. The general framework adopted here is that of generative metrics; this paper proposes a new constraint-based approach that builds most directly on the work of Frie...
متن کاملSolving a New Multi-objective Inventory-Routing Problem by a Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm
This paper considers a multi-period, multi-product inventory-routing problem in a two-level supply chain consisting of a distributor and a set of customers. This problem is modeled with the aim of minimizing bi-objectives, namely the total system cost (including startup, distribution and maintenance costs) and risk-based transportation. Products are delivered to customers by some heterogeneous ...
متن کاملCardinality-Based Feature Modeling and Constraints: A Progress Report
Software factories have been proposed as a comprehensive and integrative approach to generative software development. Feature modeling has several applications in generative software development, including domain analysis, product-line scoping, and feature-based product specification. This paper reports on our recent progress in cardinalitybased feature modeling and its support for expressing a...
متن کاملDistributed generative CSP framework for multi-site product configuration
Today’s configurators are centralized systems and do not allow manufacturers to cooperate on-line for offer-generation or sales-configuration. However, supply chain integration of configurable products requires the cooperation of the configuration systems from the different manufacturers that jointly offer solutions to customers. As a consequence, there is a high potential for methods that enab...
